World Cup Final Betting Tips, Odds and Preview
Winner Semi-Final 1 v Winner Semi-Final 2 – 11 July, 1am – Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow
Possible Match Ups
The betting market suggests that the 2018 World Cup final will be played between Germany and Brazil. It’s tough to argue with the way the market has called it given that Germany are the defending champions and retain immense quality while Brazil have improved immeasurably since their horrific night in Belo Horizonte four years ago.
Brazil and Germany are not the only world class teams heading to Russia though. It’s going to take a special performance from anybody to get the better of Spain who are playing some stunning football under the management of Julen Lopetegui while Uruguay look very much the dark horses for World Cup glory.
Betting Odds for the Semi-Finals
If you’re getting involved in the betting for teams to reach the final of the World Cup, sticking with just two options is a brave call. It could pay to have four teams on board and you can play with your options in the Name the Finalists market.
A Germany versus Brazil final would pay out at around $13 while Brazil versus Spain is available at a general $20. Uruguay will likely have to get the better of Brazil but if they do, a final with them against Germany ($81) and Spain ($101) would return handsomely.
World Cup finals don’t come much more dramatic or controversial than England’s 1996 triumph over Germany. This game had everything. From a goal that people are still debating to this day to an incredible hat-trick and perhaps the most memorable piece of soccer commentary of all time.
