Germany to Move Closer to Qualification
24 June 2018, 4am AEST
Germany are many people’s favourites to go all the way and lift the World Cup this summer. Joachim Low’s men are arguably the strongest squad in Russia and should have little trouble overcoming Sweden. The Swedes are a close group but that will only take Janne Andersson’s men so far.
Head to Head
Germany and Sweden first met on the international stage way back in 1911. Germany have won 15 to Sweden’s 13 but came out on top 5-3 in their last meeting during qualifying for the 2014 World Cup.
