It’s been a week of celebration for Chelsea. The Blues won the Premier League title at the Hawthorns on Friday night before fireworks and a thoroughly entertaining 4-3 win over Watford at Stamford Bridge.

David MoyesThere will be yet more celebrations at the Bridge on Sunday afternoon when Antonio Conte and his players are awarded the Premier League trophy following their game against Sunderland.

Sunday is not just about Chelsea enjoying themselves though. Conte will be demanding that his players put in the effort to stay fit and sharp ahead of next weekend’s FA Cup final against Arsenal.

The mood in the Chelsea camp could hardly be any different to that among the Sunderland squad. The Black Cats are going down as the Premier League’s worst side and there are question marks about whether manager, David Moyes, and the majority of the squad will remain at the club in the Championship next season.

Sunderland have just one more horrible afternoon to endure and it could be some time before they return to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea v Sunderland Key Battles

Picking out a particular area where Sunderland must pay extra attention against Chelsea is not easy. They are miles behind the Blues in every single area of the pitch.

The home side are sure to have the vast majority of possession, their forwards will dominate the Sunderland defence while their fluid front three will move the Black Cats’ defence all over the pitch.

That is true before you factor in the different motivation levels between the two teams. Whereas morale has never been higher at Chelsea, David Moyes recently said that he agreed with Alan Shearer’s analysis that Sunderland’s performance against Swansea was pathetic.

Chelsea v Sunderland Betting Analysis

Chelsea are a best price of $1.15 to win Sunday’s game. It’s clear that they will round off their season in style but there is next to no point in getting involved in that price unless you’ve got a huge betting balance.

Thankfully the bookies have priced up a host of handicap markets which are much more tempting. Of all the options available, we like the look of the $4.33 that Bet365 are quoting on Chelsea -3 goals.

Chelsea’s second string XI may have let in three goals against Watford but Conte will put out a much stronger team so as to properly prepare for the upcoming game at Wembley. That decision means Sunday’s game will not end well for Sunderland and Chelsea could well end with a very big win in front of their home fans.

Another way of approaching a bet on Chelsea is by backing them to win to nil which is $1.53 with Unibet.

John Terry scored probably his final goal for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge to open the scoring against Watford. On Sunday, Diego Costa may just do the same.

The Spaniard has been heavily linked with a move away from the club in the summer and he can prove his worth to potential suitors by scoring first at $3 with Sportsbet.
