Arsenal vs Liverpool Premier League Betting Tips
If someone had told you a few weeks ago that Liverpool would be six points clear at the top of the English Premier League by Boxing Day, you would have told them they’d gone mad. And yet here we are, with the Reds looking irresistible EPL title favourites ahead of a home match against Arsenal on Sunday, at 430 a.m. AEST.
Liverpool Deserved Betting Favourites
Arsenal were the last team to take points off Liverpool, in a 1-1 draw at Emirates Stadium on November 3. Since then, Liverpool have won eight games in a row, scoring 20 and conceding only two. Arsenal have won just two of their last five games, and were lucky to even escape with a 1-1 draw against lowly Brighton & Hove Albion on Boxing Day.

The Reds have had a very merry Xmas, made even better by the fact that Man City have dropped three of their past four matches, leaving Liverpool six points ahead of Spurs and seven ahead of Man City at the top. Despite being hot favourites against Arsenal, Liverpool are good value, with top bookies including Unibet offering 1.50 for the win. Given they’ve lead at half-time in four of their last eight games, we also like Bet365’s2.20 for the Liverpool/Liverpool HT/FT double. Arsenal are paying 6.35 at Unibet to cause a monumental upset.
Punters eyeing Salah, Aubameyang
Plenty of interest surrounds Arsenal’s red-hot Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who leads the league with 13 goals, and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, who’s equal-second with Harry Kane on 12 goals. Neither player scored last time these teams met, but Salah has scored in five of Liverpool’s last eight games and Aubameyang in four of Arsenal’s last eight.
PointsBet is paying 1.77 for Salah to score and a long 2.65 for Aubameyang to score. Liverpool have only conceded twice in nine home matches this season, but if any visiting player is up for the challenge it is surely Aubameyang.
