NRL Round 7 Betting Tips – Weekend of 15th April 2017

It’s Round 7 of the NRL season and we’ve got some cracking fixtures ahead of us. As it’s Easter, we’ve not got the normal Thursday night game but that serves to just condense all the action.

To make the most of the betting opportunities presented to us in Round 7, we’ve gone through the matches to select three bets which we are very confident about.

Without further ado, let’s get stuck into the tips.

Bulldogs v Rabbitohs

Good Friday comes with a number of sporting traditions and the game between these two Sydney rivals is right up there among them.

Fans and journalists will be hoping for a repeat of the 2015 match which came to be known as the ‘Bad Friday’ encounter. It’s unlikely we’ll see anything quite as fierce this time around but there is no question that both teams will be fighting for a win after some worrying recent performances.

If the Dogs are to win this one in front of their own fans, you’d have to think they’ll need to make it as scrappy as they can. Something like their 10-7 win over the Broncos a couple of weekends ago would do nicely.

The problem is, they’ve lost David Klemmer and the Souths are equally able to dig in and grab a narrow win. So, back the Rabbitohs to get the win at a generous $2.15 with Ladbrokes.

Sea Eagles v Storm

Lottoland is the venue for Saturday’s match between the Sea Eagles and the Storm. It’s a match which pits together two sides who saw their run of wins ended in Round 6 and therefore presents both with a great chance of bouncing straight back.

Of the two, we feel that it’s the Storm who should get back on track.

While the Storm were expected to have a good run before the season started, the Sea Eagles’ recent good run came as a bit of a surprise to many.

Melbourne Storm have a lot of work still to do if they are to seriously challenge come the business end of the campaign but they’ll be happy enough to have the chance of building on their solid defensive performances.

If they can get a lead early and quite the passionate crowd at Lottoland, the Storm should be able to secure an important win at $1.58 with Palmerbet.

Panthers v Sharks

We’re still in the relatively early stages of the season but it’s always nice to get a big win against a potential finals rival. That’s the prize on offer at Pepper Stadium when the Panthers host the Sharks.

Of the two, the Sharks will be the happiest with their season so far. Melbourne and Newcastle have seen first hand recently just how tough it is to get anything out of this Sharks’ defence even if there is room for improvement in attack.

The Panthers are a potent attacking force at their best but we think this will be tight so have a bet on under 38.5 points at $1.91 with Bet365.

Storm to beat Sea Eagles at $1.58 with Palmerbet
