National Rugby League Round 10 Betting Tips – 13th April 2017

The Representative Round last week came at just the wrong time for some NRL teams, robbing them of momentum. For others, it was perfectly timed as it allowed their players a change of scenery and the chance to galvanise to turn their NRL form around.

The NRL action returns this weekend and below you’ll find our best three bets from the fixtures.

Penrith Panthers v New Zealand Warriors

The coaching staff of both the Penrith Panthers and New Zealand Warriors were glad to have last week off. After poor starts to the season, the teams needed the time to assess where they’ve gone wrong and how to improve.

By and large, both teams got their players back from the Representative Round fit and healthy and with plenty on the line, we could be in for a cracker at Pepper Stadium.

With just two wins to their name, the Panthers are desperate to turn their season around. You only have to talk to Panthers fans to understand just how unpredictable the team are but this could finally be the week in which it starts to turn for Anthony Griffin’s men.

That doesn’t mean that it will all go to plan. The Warriors can be very good in possession and will pile the pressure on at times.

So, back the Panthers to win and over 36.5 points at $2.50 with Sportsbet.

Manly Sea Eagles v Brisbane Broncos

There’s a double header at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday and we’re very much looking forward to the second match between the Sea Eagles and the Broncos.

It’s been a solid opening third of the season for these two who both occupy positions inside the top six. Of the pair, however, you can make a case for the Sea Eagles being the most impressive.

Many people expected Brisbane Broncos to make a push for the top of the ladder but the Sea Eagles have performed above expectations. Trent Barrett’s team have been especially impressive in an attacking sense and we think they’ll cause the Broncos all sorts of trouble.

We also think that the Broncos will have a say on the outcome at Suncorp Stadium.

In what should be a thriller, make sure to have a bet on over 44.5 points which is $2.89 with Sportsbet.

Newcastle Knights v Canberra Raiders

The Canberra Raiders go into their match against Newcastle Knights at McDonald Jones Stadium as the clear favourites with the bookies. That’s despite the fact that they lost very winnable games against both the Sea Eagles and the Bulldogs recently.

Raiders head coach, Ricky Stuart, must now ensure that his team get back on track against the struggling Knights.

Once again, Newcastle are suffering right at the bottom of the NRL ladder. The Knights have won just a single game going into Round 10’s encounter and it’s hard to see them picking up too many more.

Talk from those in the know suggests that the Raiders believe they’ve got what it takes to make it all the way to the finals. Belief is a great thing in sport but it is meaningless without action.

Now is the time for the Raiders to get their campaign back underway with a big win. We think they’ll manage just that and recommend betting on them with a 14 point handicap at $1.91 with Bet365.
