Cowboys v Panthers NRL Betting Guide

There is another busy weekend of NRL action taking place over the course of Friday, Saturday and Sunday and on Saturday, Canterbury Bulldogs and Penrith Panthers lock horns in what should be an interesting match.

The top eight qualify for the season finale of course and with the Bulldogs in sixth position, they are looking good for a spot in the play-offs, but with two games to go and the Panthers level on points with eighth place right now, they have it all to play for.

Looking at the Canterbury Bulldogs to begin with, they will be looking to bounce back from a defeat last weekend, but if at their best here, they are sure to come out on top.

When on home soil, the Bulldogs are usually strong and they haven’t lost many games here all season. if you take a look at the odds, you can see that the hosts are the favourites to come out on top as Bookmaker have them at 1.43.

A win all-but secures their place in the season final and that is why the points are vital here.

They have played some excellent rugby this campaign and scored plenty of points, but might just need to sharpen up defensively this weekend as they have conceded at least 16 points in each of their last four matches.

As for the Penrith Panthers, they have won back-to-back matches at the perfect time and could be good value for the win in this one at 3.25 with Sportingbet.

If they win their two matches, there is every chance that the Panthers will make the final eight and as we know, anything can happen after that.

This is going to be a tough encounter for the visitors, but they have plenty of quality and should come here in good spirits. It has been an inconsistent campaign for the Penrith Panthers and they have to try and finish it strongly.

For some extra value on your bets, it might be worth heading into the correct scoring place market and at the moment, bet365 have odds of 1.72 on the Bulldogs opening things up with a try.

Panthers going over the link first can be backed at 2.4 with Luxbet.

For us though, the value is with the Penrith Panthers for this one and we think odds of 4.2 with IASbet.com on them winning by under 12.5 points is excellent value.

It should be a cracking game as we enter the final couple of weeks of the regular NRL season. If you are betting on the match though don’t forget to get your free bets and free bet offer from our homepage first to get even better bet value.
