Aussie Horse Racing Tips – 15th – 17th June 2017
There’s nothing quite like heading into the weekend with some extra money in your wallet. When you get your horse racing betting right you can do just that whilst being entertained by quality sporting action.
To help you head into the weekend in profit we’ve put together some quick horse racing previews below which include our best bets from the upcoming action. We’ve also got a tasty bet from Saturday’s action so let’s get stuck into the bets.
Taree R3 – Thursday
When you’re looking for hints for a racing bet it often pays to have a look at the way that horses have been entered and/or saved for certain races.
Take Navua Mist for example.
She was originally due to be run at Cessnock on Tuesday but was pulled to give her a run in the third race at Taree on Thursday. Trainer, Kris Lees, along with owner, J J Starr, clearly believe that the four-year-old has a strong chance of winning and the market supports that view.
The best price you’ll get on Navua Mist is the $2.4 that Bet365 are quoting and we’d suggest that you snap that up while it lasts.
Ballarat R3 – Thursday
Bold Sniper is set to go off as the favourite in the 3200m E-Cycle Solutions Maiden Hurdle. There are no questions about his ability to get the trip and he’ll have a fair amount left in the tank to kick on at the finish.
The only problem with Bold Sniper is there’s no guarantee he’ll be in the running come the closing stages. His jumping is not yet as strong as it should be which often leaves the Queen’s horse needing too much to do for us to get involved at $3.40 with Sportsbet.
Instead, we recommend backing Hale Soriano. The seven-year-old suffered a heavy fall back in May but thankfully emerged having not suffered any serious injuries. That fall was highly unusual for an experienced horse who tends to jump well and, if anything, it will sharpen him up.
There are concerns that Hale Soriano’s best days are behind him now but he rebounded from the fall at Casterton with a second place on heavy ground last time out and in this sort of class he should be able to return to the winner’s circle at a best price of $3.80 with Ladbrokes.
Ipswich R8 – Saturday
Sometimes you’re unsure as to how the going will be for a race which makes picking a potential winner all the more tricky. That is not a concern we have at Ipswich on Saturday.
The torrential rain in the area means we’re assured heavy conditions underfoot. That is bad news for some of those making the trip to the Queensland track but it is very good news for Shiraz.

The Eye Liner Stakes is the first time that Queensland racing fans will have seen the seven-year-old gelding and they could end up being very impressed. Kim Waugh’s charge is a stakes winner and has placed in a Group One so there is no doubting his pedigree.
Waugh’s yard are looking forward to a solid few months from Shiraz and he could kick it all off in style with a win at Ipswich at odds of $10 with William Hill.
