Sydney Swans vs Adelaide Crows - AFL - Betting Tips 29-03-2019
Sydney v Adelaide Betting Preview
Punters were predicting Sydney to miss their first finals series since 2009, and those predictions look to be on the mark given the Swans’ start to the year. Sydney looked off in their opening-round loss to the Bulldogs, trailing 125 to 151 in contested possessions and 32 to 41 in clearances. The good news is spearhead Lance Franklin should improve after getting a full game under his belt against the Dogs.

Adelaide were the most-talked up AFL club in the pre-season, which is why their loss to the Hawks came as such a shock. The Crows didn’t just lose, they were thrashed, despite having 73 more disposals and three more inside 50s. The Crows had just 21 shots from 58 inside 50s, and to make matters worse they lost key backman Tom Doedee to an ACL.
Sydney v Adelaide Betting Tips
Sydney go into this match as slight favourites, but it’s hard to put money on either side with any measure of confidence. If we can be reasonably sure about one thing, it’s that this match should be close. The sides are 2-2 in their last four encounters, with both winning once at home and once away. The average margin in their last four has been 14.75 points. With that in mind, it might be worth taking a bet on the line, with Adelaide starting +4.5 at Unibet.
These two teams scored a combined 120 points and conceded a combined 169 points last week, contributing to the lowest-scoring round one since 1965. Interestingly, bet365 is paying 5.25 for a match total of 142 points or less this week.
