St Kilda v Hawthorn AFL Preview
Saints fans would have lost plenty of hair this season, with their first three matches all decided by less than two kicks. The Saints beat Gold Coast by one point and Essendon by 11 points before falling five points short against Fremantle on the weekend. St Kilda trailed the Dockers by more than five goals during the second quarter, but had the momentum in the last quarter and may have won had the siren gone a couple of minutes later.

Hawthorn gave up a five-goal lead in the last quarter against the Dogs a couple of weeks ago, and came from four goals down against North Melbourne last Sunday to win by 16 points. The Hawks will again be without Liam Shiels and Shaun Burgoyne – and Tom Mitchell, of course – this Sunday. As they have so often in the Alastair Clarkson era, the Hawks found a way to win against North, with Luke Breust kicking five goals and boom recruit Chad Wingard kicking three.

St Kilda v Hawthorn Betting Tips
St Kilda’s three wins have all come over relatively weak opponents, and their luck may be about to run out. The Saints have been great in the middle but weak in terms of efficiency, and a side like Hawthorn could strangle them. We like the fact Unibet is starting Hawthorn at -17.5 points at the line.
The Saints have been involved in three low-scoring games, and are averaging 75.7 points for to 73.3 points against. Incredibly, the Hawks have scored 87 points three weeks in a row. We doubt they’ll score exactly 87 again, but we like the fact Neds is paying 1.90 on a match total of 24 goals or less.
