Gold Coast Suns and Brisbane Lions- AFL Betting Tips 27-04-2019
Gold Coast Suns v Brisbane Lions Preview
The Gold Coast Suns came crashing back to earth in Adelaide on Sunday when they suffered a 12-goal thumping at the hands of the Crows. After looking so impressive in the first four weeks of the season, Gold Coast just didn’t have enough contributors at Adelaide Oval. Touk Miller and Brayden Fiorini are both having breakout years in the midfield, but they’ll need a few friends if the Suns are to compete with Brisbane this Saturday.

Brisbane are also going through a mini-slump after winning their first three games. The Lions have been shown up by two finals contenders in Essendon and Collingwood, although up-and-down form is to be expected of a young team. Brisbane have been slow starters this season, and in the last two matches they simply left themselves too much ground to make up. Coach Chris Fagan will need to address these slow starts if the Lions are to win down on the Gold Coast.
Gold Coast Suns v Brisbane Lions Betting Tips
If we can be confident of one thing, it’s that this game will be close. The Lions have won the last two matches on the road at Metricon, by four points last year and two points in 2017. Home ground advantage doesn’t seem to have an effect in the QClash, given Gold Coast won at the Gabba by less than a kick last year.
The Lions are the better side on paper, and should win. With that said, Gold Coast at +13.5 points at TopBetta sounds like a good deal to us. Unibet is paying 1.43 for a straight Brisbane Lions victory, regardless of final margin.
